Welcome to Mommy-hood     /files/j0185174.jpg

Becoming a mom is one of the most joyful times in a woman's life.  But for most, there is a lot more to it than they had ever dreamed.  Mommy-hood is a full-time 'round the clock' job.  You may feel as if you're always "on".  So how you still make time to be a wife, daughter, and friend?  How do you raise a child of excellent character?  How you listen to God's plan for your life and that of your child when you can barely find time to shower or do the laundry?

You're not alone on this journey

By joining the New Mom's Group, you'll have the opportunity to explore these issues and many others with fellow moms.  Each week, the group will walk through a few chapters from relevant books.  We'll cover topics such as: How to manage your worry and where to find more patience.  We'll also uncover practical tips for prioritizing your daily schedule.

Seasoned moms will join the group from time to time to share their secrets for living life with God while raising a healthy family.  Perhaps most importantly, we'll support and encourage each other as we walk through this glorious new experience called motherhoood. We meet at 10:30am on Thursday mornings and welcome any new moms who would like to join us.  Babies are welcome!

What is the New Mom's Group?

  • A loving community for mutual support and encouragement
  • A forum for learning via shared experience, books and input from veteran mothers

Who Should Join?

The group is available to moms who have at least one child under two years of age.

Although the group is based on biblical principles, you're welcome to join us wherever you are on your spiritual walk.  We are a welcoming and accepting community.

Where and When are the meetings?

We meet each Thursday morning from 10:30-12:00 in Novato.  Please contact Christian Church of San Rafael for directions (ccsr@ccsr.com or 479-4700).

What are the Group Values?

  • Christ-centered and Biblically based
  • Confidential: what is said in the group stays in the group
