I have greatly enjoyed transforming AdventureLand Children’s Ministries into a place where children can embark on their adventure of learning about Jesus. AdventureLand hosts fun and age-appropriate children's programs for children birth through 5th grade during our Sunday service and also provides other children-oriented events throughout the year. Our classes and events are led by a dedicated team of teachers and volunteers who love children and desire to help them grow in their knowledge of Jesus.
Our AdventureLand Classes are far removed from the rote learning churches may have used in previous decades. We use a variety of tools to help children learn according to their own developmental style. Our AdventureLand classes include age appropriate hands-on learning, games, conversation, songs, crafts, and movies so that concepts are reinforced in a variety of ways. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere, children are invited to ask questions, pursue truth, and discover Jesus for themselves. Our teaching endeavors to supplement the Christian nurture and training the child receives in the home environment.

VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to foster within each child the desire to discover God in a personal way, leaving an eternal imprint of God’s love on his/her heart and life.
OUR BELIEFS
· Children are a gift from God and should be handled with love and care.
· Children are important in the

· Children deserve a safe, positive, nurturing and age appropriate learning environment that is free of fear, pressure to “grow up”, or prejudice.
· Ministry is not just “to” children but “with” children. We learn from children as we teach them.
· God has appointed parents as the primary religious instructors of their children and the church’s role is to assist in the cooperative effort of that task.
· Successful ministry is the shared responsibility of children, ministry staff & volunteers, parents and the church body.
· Positive self-esteem promotes both personal growth and growth in a relationship with God.
· Ministry should be creative, innovative and in touch with the children and families of our community.
· Effective teachers are the most important component of our ministry.
· Relational ministry is best served with adults who serve as positive role models to the children.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of Adventure Land Children’s Ministries is to:
· Impact the children in our community with the message of Christ’s love for them.
· Encourage children to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to become a part of our church family.
· Facilitate a child’s growth in his/her understanding of Jesus and their relationship with Jesus Christ and how to apply His Word.
· Foster skill building through relevant biblical teaching, positive role modeling and esteem building.
· Prepare children to discover their uniqueness and eventually God’s mission for their lives.
